About the Band

There are five players in the group with decades of experience each. Instrumentation includes keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, five strong vocalists, and a large measure of enthusiasm! The majority of the playlist is comprised of popular cover material with an emphasis on a dance beat. The group was actually "born" in Keystone Heights on the Fourth of July in 1981 and played it's first gig at Santa Fe High School for the Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dance. For over two decades now Area Code has appeared regularly at clubs in the Gainesville, Fl. area.

Hey Everybody!
We really want to thank all our friends and
fans who came out of the woodwork last
week to see us in our first gig of the year!
You made the weekend special, and we
sure do appreciate it!
This Friday and Saturday Area Code is
excited to be back at the Sunshine Eagles.
It's a great sounding room, it's smoke free,
drinks are cheap, and with the early hours,
(8-12), what more could you ask for! We're
gonna be rockin' out, the dance floor gets
packed, so come early, stay late!!

Area Code at Emerald's this weekend!

Hey everybody,
Well, what a long strange trip it's been! But after waiting
since last year for me to get my thumb back, Area Code's
ready to rock out again! And what better place to start
than our old friends at Emerald's. We're gonna be there
this Friday and Saturday, armed with new songs and a
lotta pent up energy, so try and make it by. We'd love to
see y'all again, catch up,and share a drink or two.
